Don Lemon asked SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to launch him into space for the first outer space podcast.
The New York Post alleges that Lemon sent Musk a wishlist that included a free Cybertruck and other requests during contract discussions with X before his dramatic firing last week.
The former CNN anchor gave Musk a wishlist while negotiating to host a show on X. A document reviewed by The Post states that his demands included “a free Tesla Cybertruck, a $5 million upfront payment on top of a $8 million salary, an equity stake in the multibillion-dollar company, and the right to approve any changes in X policy as it relates to news content.”
Lemon reportedly sought a private jet journey to Las Vegas, a room for him and his fiancé, plus business coverage for day drinking and massages.
It read: “First podcast in space to be hosted by Don (via SpaceX).”
Musk and Lemon launched Don's X (previously Twitter) concert late last year. The collaboration ended last week after a tense interview with the billionaire businessman.
Musk was Lemon's first guest on “The Don Lemon Show,” which launched on YouTube Monday (March 18).
Lemon's reps denied making several requests to Elon.
“This is absolute, complete utter nonsense without an iota of truth to it,” UTA vice chairman Jay Sures told The Post.
Don made no real demands on X, according to your list. Simply nothing,” said Lemon spokesperson Allison Gollust.
