In Indiana on Sunday, former Kentucky basketball player Rajon Rondo was detained after a traffic stop.
After being pulled over for dangerous driving on I-65 South, the trooper smelled marijuana and found a firearm and narcotics in the car. According to an Indiana State Police press release, Rondo was detained for misdemeanor firearm, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia possession.
Rondo cannot own a gun due to a protective order. Rondo allegedly intimidated a Louisville lady in 2022, according to The AP. She petitioned a judge to order Rondo anger management and mental health exam.
After his arrest, Rondo was released on bail from Jackson County Jail. Rondo was apprehended with a juvenile in his car and released to a family member.
Rondo vowed to kill his children's mother in front of them in 2022 with a pistol.
As per TMZ, Ashley Bachelor, the mother of his two children, requested an emergency protective order in Louisville for her and their children.
Bachelor stated, “I am extremely fearful for my safety and for the safety of my children. Rajon has a tumultuous, explosive past. He abuses verbally, emotionally, and financially. He beats our son and calls him ‘p***y’ and a ‘bitch.’”
Rajon verbally attacks our daughter, she said. He calls her "thot, bitch, and d**khead."
Ashley Bachelor said Rayon has threatened to shoot her or shoot up her car.
