DJ Akademiks and two others are being sued for sexually assaulting a woman in 2022.
Fauziya “Ziya” Abashe sued Akademiks, aka Livingston Allen, for rape and slander in New Jersey on Tuesday. She says he showed her CCTV footage of the alleged attack on his pool deck and texted her to “get tested” thereafter.
The lawsuit states that Abashe witnessed the two men abuse her and “she looked like she was just lying there lifeless, which did not sit right with her,” Complex reports. She alleges she first stayed silent and did not seek charges. She reversed her decision once the claims reappeared in late 2023.
Abashe's lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, told USA Today, “Litigation is always the last resort. Ms. Abashe had to file after multiple failed private attempts to address this situation. Hubris will destroy Mr. Allen.”
A brief relationship with DJ Akademiks followed in 2021, according to the complaint. The lady says she was astonished to see two guys at his house in 2022.
She was raped on Akademiks' pool deck after the two guys poisoned her drink and kept offering her booze. She said Akademiks woke her up at 4 a.m. “pulling her hair, prying open her legs, and brutally raping her” and entering her anally and vaginally.
Abashe said she asked Akademiks to stop, “crying for most of this assault but losing her ability to move physically.”
Akademiks implied in the complaint that the two men raped Abashe inside the property after assaulting her on the pool deck. When authorities conducted a warrant search on the premises, Akademiks disposed of all evidence, including the bedsheets, the lawsuit stated.
Abashe's rape kit allegedly detected Akademik's sperm. The lawsuit claims authorities photographed her bruises.
Per Complex, Abashe claims she has a “recorded wire call” when the media celebrity “graphically” recalled the “sexual intercourse” and “even going so far as to describe her vagina.”
The victim alleges Akademiks defamed her by “accusing her of voluntarily having an orgy with his friends at his home while maintaining that he never participated at all.”
She is represented by Rodney Jones' counsel in his Diddy case.
In a Tuesday Rumble webcast, DJ Akademiks stated he is a "innocent man who has never been charged with any deviancy or anything like that." Never charged, never will be. That’s true.”
