Who is Reaux Fareal?

Short Bio

Reaux Fareal has been a public figure in Louisiana since he was 13 years old. In 1991, he was the youngest radio personality in the State of Louisiana. As a Radio Personality, Singer, Actor, Published Author, and Spoken Word Artist, he is one of the most familiar voices along the Gulf Coast.

Notariety

Reaux Fareal has been featured on HBO, MTV, TBN, Fox News, and Amazon Prime. At age 12 he was featured in Fresh Magazine as a rising star. He was also featured in Source Magazine as a Louisiana Influential DJ in the late 90's. In 2005, he was featured in Ebony Magazine, among America's Top 40 On The Rise. He has been featured at a Houston Rockets NBA Game and he has sang the National Anthem for New Orleans Pelicans twice. Reaux has starred in more than 40 traveling stage plays. In 2004, he was the youngest recipient of The Amistad Award, given to influential entrepreneurs in America.

Singing

Reaux Fareal has recorded 7 albums, including 5 globally released albums. He began singing in church at age 7. He began directing choirs around Louisiana as a teenager and became the State Music Director the for the Louisiana Baptist Youth Encampment at 17 years old, leading more than 2500 youth across the state. Reaux has recorded more than 100 songs across a diverse span of genres, including R&B, Gospel, Afrobeats, Rock, and Reggae.

Spoken Word

As a Spoken Word artist and Motivational Speaker, he is a pillar of the New Orleans Spoken Word Community. He is a 2x National Spoken Word Winner for his piece 'Amazing' at the NBC-USA Convention. In 2024, he released an International Spoken Word Album called 'Tribe' which achieved more than 1M streams online.

Radio

Reaux Fareal has worked in radio all over the Gulf Coast Region since 1991. He has been Arbitron Rated #1 in Monroe and Shreveport, LA. He is well known for his work at Streetz 100.3 in New Orleans, LA and he has commercials on more than 10 radio stations around the country. Known as 'The Jingle King', Reaux has sang jingles for more than 50 small businesses all over the Gulf Coast region of the United States.

Philanthropy

Reaux Fareal started the Parlay Foundation in 2017 to help HBCU Students pay off tuition and gain scholarships. The organization has helped more than 200 HBCU students to date. Reaux also helped rebuild youth programs throughout the New Orleans Metro Area after Hurricane Katrina, working with Boy Scouts of America, Dillard University, and Household of Faith Family Worship Center International.
