In 2005, Snoop Dogg performed live on stage and the late Notorious B.I.G. gave a video performance while Diddy hosted the VMAs from Miami. Diddy won a Moonman for "Best R&B Video" in 1997, his first year as a nominee, and went on to win the "Viewer's Choice" award in 1998. He will make his ninth appearance at the VMAs this year.
